Its not tablet PC its neither a cell phone. It is a product features extracted from both technologies so it does not meet all the needs of a laptop user or a cell phone user.

No Multi-tasking: You can not perform multiple tasks on same time. It is biggest downside of the gadget if it is aimed to replace laptops.

It has No Camera: You can not take photos from a paper sized gadget and can not enjoy video chat or skpe video conferencing.

No USB: Apple has given dock for data exchange and its difficult for end-user to carry separate add ons accessories all time. Dock need a USB adapter.

It does not support the Flash Player. It means user wont be able to access everything on Internet like ESPN, Farm Ville, Disney etc.

The Display is LED backlit with IPS (In-Plane Switching) which is not as power efficient as OLED devices. It drains battery quickly. Moreover the screen is harder for eyes due to its crisper display.

Applications from App Store only is major consideration while spending 500$ on this gadget. Researcher says iPad is iBad for freedom of software.

Thus one has to wait to enjoy all the necessary features in iPad2 or iPad4.
